80 years ago this week, German forces in the Netherlands surrendered as the front collapsed, just days before the capitulation of the Germans in Berlin. Today, the Dutch celebrate the events with two holidays: Dodenherdenking (Remembrance Day) on May 4th and Bevrijdingsdag (Liberation Day) on May 5th.
