We’re delighted to announce that we have partnered with the world’s leading travel booking site, Expedia, to help you plan the ultimate heritage tour and explore the land of your ancestors.

The challenges of the past year and a half have given us all a greater appreciation both for the importance of family and for the freedom to travel. In that spirit, MyHeritage and Expedia have joined forces to help you create a meaningful experience of traveling in the footsteps of your ancestors.

Exploring your family connection to a place fosters a deep sense of belonging and adds a greater level of meaning to your journey. What’s more, for aspiring and seasoned genealogists alike, there’s nothing like traveling to the place where it all happened to help you better understand your family history and even make progress with your research.

That’s why we are launching the Heritage Travel Hub: a site housed on Expedia that helps prospective travelers map an itinerary based on their family history discoveries. And we’re kicking it off with a contest to win an all-expenses-paid heritage tour!

The site features true stories about heritage trips and international family reunions and offers suggestions for sites, cultural landmarks, and culinary experiences that you can include in your itinerary when traveling to the land of your ancestors. It also offers information on how to discover where your ancestors came from and how to plan the ultimate heritage tour itinerary. The site also provides links to purchase MyHeritage subscriptions and DNA kits.

The site currently features 3 fascinating stories from MyHeritage users who made incredible discoveries about their ancestors when traveling to Spain, Italy, and Ireland. Additional stories will appear there in the future, so be sure to check back every now and then!
