Happy birthday to Brad Pitt! Today the actor turns 57.

The actor and producer was born William Bradley Pitt on December 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He grew up in Springfield, Missouri and enrolled in the University of Missouri after high school. Just before earning his degree in journalism, Pitt decided to leave school and move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
After finding work in small parts on television, Pitt landed a role in the film, Thelma & Louise. Although his appearance was brief, Pitt had caught the attention of the public. He followed up with the films A River Runs Through It and Interview with the Vampire and became an international star. He has since earned 7 Academy Award nominations, 4 for acting and 3 as a producer of Best Picture contenders. In 2014, Pitt won his first Oscar when 12 Years a Slave won for Best Picture. He picked up his second Oscar earlier this year for his performance in Once Upon a Time….In Hollywood.
