The Sinking of the Steamship “Ville du Havre”

On November 22, 1873, a terrible collision between the French passenger steamship “Ville du Havre” and the British cargo sailing ship “Loch Earn” occurred in the mid-Atlantic, in the wee hours, hundreds of miles from land. 226 passengers and crew aboard the “Ville du Havre” lost their lives.
