We had a fabulous time at RootsTech, the world’s largest family history conference. It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces and meet plenty of new ones at the genealogy event of the year. On Friday, March 2, attendees enjoyed an exclusive session with Gilad Japhet, Founder and CEO of MyHeritage, where he shared details about our newly released features and other exciting updates coming up soon from MyHeritage.
Gilad opened his talk by sharing a fascinating discovery from his own family history research, as a tribute to his father, Gideon Japhet, who passed away 10 years ago. The story is inspiring and it includes important genealogical takeaways. Watch the video to find out more!
Gilad then spoke about MyHeritage’s incredible suite of photo features, most recently AI Time Machine, which allows you to reimagine yourself as one of your ancestors. Gilad shared examples of himself and some of our team members in a variety of historical themes.
Next, Gilad described the incredible value of cM Explainer, a free new feature that is a gamechanger in genetic genealogy by significantly improving relationship predictions for DNA Matches. During the presentation, Gilad walked the audience through several of the unique features that make cM Explainer so powerful.
Gilad also spoke about color coding for family trees, a free new feature that makes family trees easier to navigate and more beautiful. He also presented several more product enhancements that were added together with color coding.
Finally, Gilad gave a sneak peek of an exclusive new photo feature that will be released very soon. More huge announcements are on the way, so stay tuned!
