New challenge

For Week #4, the week leading up to Christmas, let’s talk traditions.

Traditions are rituals that we share and pass down from generation to generation. They can be big or small, unique or common. They might have roots in religion or culture, or maybe your family follows a yearly tradition based on a family joke. Traditions vary widely between different cultures, regions, and eras — even from family to family.

No matter what your family’s holiday traditions look like, many create lasting memories. Did your ancestors observe the same holiday traditions that you and your family keep today? Tell us the story behind your family’s traditions, and make sure to include photos!

Post your answer on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using the hashtag #holidayheritage and share your post with friends and family to get as many likes as possible. The post with the most likes by December 24, 2019, Christmas Eve, will win a MyHeritage DNA Health+Ancestry kit and a MyHeritage Subscription.

Last week’s winner

Last week, we asked our users to share their favorite holiday dishes.

And our winner is…

What a beautiful sentiment. Sometimes a scrumptious dish brings us that much more joy when infused with the memory of the person who prepared it for us and what they meant to us.

Keep sharing your #HolidayHeritage posts. You might just go home with the grand prize of 10 MyHeritage DNA Health+Ancestry kits and 10 MyHeritage Subscriptions!
