Geni is Heading to RootsTech 2020

Next week Geni will be heading to Salt Lake City, Utah for RootsTech 2020! Between February 26-29, thousands of genealogists and family history enthusiasts will come together at the Salt Palace Convention Center to partake in the world’s largest family history event of the year.

This year RootsTech celebrates its 10th anniversary with an exciting line up of keynote speakers, including Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith and Leigh Anne Tuohy, whose family served as the inspiration behind the popular book and film, The Blind Side.

Come visit Geni in the Expo Hall at booth 323 and say hello! Bring your questions and our team will be happy to help. Be sure to also also pick up a handy Geni notebook!

If you have a GEDCOM file that you have been meaning to import, you can bring it to the booth and we’ll help you out. We’ll also have free access to all of Geni’s premium features, including free access to MyHeritage’s Record Matches and Smart Matches. So if you’ve ever wanted to give our premium features a try or take a peak at some matching historical records, stop by and test it out from one of our computer stations. MyHeritage has a full line-up of booth lectures planned throughout the entire conference. Expert speakers and MyHeritage staff will give small lectures at the MyHeritage booth on topics ranging from genealogy, DNA, and new features on MyHeritage. Find Your Relatives with the Geni Pathfinder

We’ve enhanced Geni’s Pathfinder tool to notify you if you’re related to other attendees. Simply register for notifications at the RootsTech 2020 Pathfinder event page. During the conference, Geni will send you a notification via the method of your choosing letting you know of new cousin discoveries. Meet and take a picture with a new relative and share it on Twitter by tagging @Geni and #RootsTech for a chance to win a Geni Pro subscription!
